Bodegas M
Central Coast, California
"Bodegas M...Coger el Dia!"

Bodegas M reflects the spirit and tradition of the great Tempranillo and Albarino wines of Spain, as expressed through the unique terroir of Paso Robles and Edna Valley. The climate and conditions of these corners of the California Central Coast mirror Spain's Ribera del Duero and as such are perfectly suited for Tempranillo and Albarino. Founding winemaker Alan Kinne worked harvests at the prestigious Vina Pedroas and Pesquera properites in Spain. He brought back hand selected cuttings from Spain and teamed up with Michael Young and Margo Shugart (who also spent many years in the wine business in Spain), to create Spanish inspired wine on the Central Coast, resulting in the incredible wines of Bodegas M!

Bodegas M 2011 Albarino Querida

100% Albarino Alcohol: 14.8% Total Case Production: 285
Grown in Edna Valley, the perfect home for Albarino. This wine spends eight months in Oak which endows it with a rich underpinning to support the racy fruit attack. It is green-gold in color, with aromas of citrus and pineapple. A rich mid-palate with flavors of green apple, citrus, and narcissus wrapped in a creamy finish.

Bodegas M 2011 Tempranillo - Tinto de Paso

100% Tempranillo Alcohol: 14.9% Total Case Production: 295
This Tinto de Paso is made in the Spanish artisanal method with hand punch downs of the fermenting grapes and a little bit of Graciano blended into the wine. It has aromas of red and black cherry that give way to soft cardamon and geranium petals. Fresh plum, cherry, and dark fruit flavors are underpinned by anise and violets, and linger long to a cherry pie finish.
